MetaTrader FIX Gateway:
The MetaTrader FIX Gateway enables asynchronous communication between a MetaTrader server and any Clearinghouse that supports the Financial Information eXchange (FIX Protocol).

How does it work:
The MetaTrader FIX Gateway works with any price feed and acts as a virtual dealer on MetaTrader. Following is how it works:

• The gateway captures trade requests on the MetaTrader server as soon as a request is made from the client.
• The gateway submits the order to the clearing house for execution
  
• The gateway gets the order execution state (filled/rejected) and captures the execution price when appropriate.
  
• The gateway either accepts or re-quotes the trade request in MetaTrader and updates the price based on the execution price from the clearing house.
  
• The MetaTrader Fix Gateway may be configured to only clear orders when a certain exposure on the currency pair is reached. This is useful when the broker wants to take some pre-defined risk level on certain currency pairs.
  
• The MetaTrader Fix Gateway ships with a management interface that allows the user to monitor trade requests as they come in and check their execution status. It also provides full Fix messages and event logging capabilities.
